Absolutely wonderful experience from the minute we walked in the door. My daughter kept telling me how much she loved it and was so comfortable she started to doze off during her cleaning!! So thankful to have finally made it off the waitlist and have her be a patient of Dr. Joe's and the awesome staff. We recently took our children to get their teeth treated, and I was genuinely impressed. The approach was professional, everything was spotless, and the atmosphere felt very welcoming. What stood out the most was the way the staff interacted with the kids — gentle, patient, and caring. Our children felt calm and comfortable throughout the visit, which means a lot to us. Thank you for such a positive experience; we’ll definitely be coming back!

Cannot recommend enough! All of the hygienists are absolutely amazing. They make the experience warm and fun for my three kids (ages 3-10) everytime we go. They are so patient with my kids and have them laughing throughout their cleanings, playing games and talking them through exactly what they’re doing. My 6-year-old was afraid walking in this morning and at minutes was at ease. This practice is truly a gift to Erie!

I have 3 children who see Dr. Joe. First off- from the very first interaction making the appointment we have had only had AMAZING experiences. Staff are friendly- clean waiting area- great toys in the waiting area- safe/clean restrooms. We have had only the very best care with the hygienists & dental assistants. My son has some minor sensory issues and they have always made him feel at ease and safe. (Dr.Joe grew rapport with him by talking about dinosaurs- right away my son felt comfortable) I have to brag about Dr.Joe- not only does he explain all dental procedures- he never makes you feel as if you are rushed or that your questions/concerns aren’t valid to ask. I myself have dental anxiety due to having a dentist when I was a child who had horrific bedside manner. For my Husband and I it’s so important that our children don’t have fear of the dentist and keep up on their dental health. At Sonshine I can assure you they have made every appointment a positive one and they love coming back for their appointments. My son needed dental surgery and he walked me through every step to ensure I felt educated & comfortable with the surgery. After surgery he made sure to sit with me and
